Grading Scale:

A- Extremely Safe. Traditional Santa legends.

B- Safe. Santa is real, but may vary from some legends.

C- OK. Santa is real, but may make numerous references to Santa not being real, or not all Santa's are real.

D- Not Ok. These movies make it pretty clear that if Santa exists, it's not the traditional Santa

F- Avoid. These movies are not safe for Santa believers, at all!

A Charlie Brown Christmas- A- The only mention of Santa is when Little sister asks for help in writing a letter to him.  The entire point of the movie is the real reason for Christmas.  The bible is quoted.

A Christmas Story- D- The store Santa is obviously not real, and the one thing the kid wants is bought by dad.  While the kid continues to believe in Santa, its pretty obvious it is mom and dad who are coming through.

Bad Santa -F- Do I really need to explain this one?

Elf -C- Santa is obviously real, as it starts out in the North Pole, but the movie has several references to non believers and breaks away from the traditional Santa.

Frosty the Snow Man -A- The movie is mostly about Frosty, but they enlist the help of Santa and Santa is magical and traditional

Good Luck Charlie, It's Christmas -B- There aren't hardly any references to Santa, but nothing contradicts the tradition.

Good Luck Jessie, A NYC Christmas on Disney Channel - C - Santa is real, but never makes an appearance. The mall Santa's are not real, and the dad dresses up as Santa and is recognized by his kids. The real Santa never makes an appearance and never brings gifts, not even on Christmas morning.

Home Alone (1-3) -C- There are several not real Santa's and the real big guy never makes an appearance, though in all 3 a Christmas miracle happens that the kid believes is Santa.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Cartoon and new Version)- A - Santa is real and does not contradict any traditional Santa legends.

Miracle on 34th Street (all versions) - C - The little girl does not believe in Santa and none of the main characters believe. In the end, Santa is real, but he's not the Santa who comes down the chimney and brings toys.

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation -D- There is nothing in this movie that promotes Santa, it doesn't necessarily say he isn't, but definitely won't help Santa's cause.

Nightmare Before Christmas -B- Santa is kidnapped and his life is on the line. The movie has some creepy and possibly disturbing images, but Santa is real.

Prancer -B- The little girl believes in Santa, but other's dont. In the end Santa is real, but not the ones at malls, etc.

The Polar Express- B- The child in the beginning does not believe in Santa, but then takes a magical train ride to the North Pole and Santa is real.

Prep and Landing by Disney (both)- A - Both of these movies are about Santa's elves helping save Christmas. Santa has a nice and naughty list, and makes his way all around the world on Christmas Eve.

Rise of the Guardians- B- This movie portrays Santa as a guardian. The movie puts a twist on some of the traditional legends but never goes to far.

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer -A- The movie starts off with Santa being a little mean to Rudolph, but otherwise is very traditional and Santa learns the error of his ways.

Santa Buddies -C- Suprisingly this movie was disappointing.  Atleast one of the buddies is a non believer who has reasons he doesn't believe. It shows an elf dressed as a mailman delivering Santa's toys instead of Santa.  The movie DOES show Santa, so obviously he is real, but it walks a very thin line and it is not a tradtional Santa

The Santa Clause (Time Allen Movies) -A- In the begininng, Santa dies (and this can be traumatice for some believers, so please use caution), but then the magic of Santa is passed on Tim Allen's character becomes Santa.  All other Santa references are pretty traditional and can actually answer the question about how Santa lives so long.
